Starts Early Part One

Patterns between men and women start early...from the very beginning...I hate to say it...but it is ingrained in us. I'm talking societal roles...the hunter...the prey...etc.

I have witnessed this twice...

The first example happened on a beach in Egypt...

I couldn’t understand what was being said...but who needs words when you have body language?

Two children...a boy and a girl...probably around 6 or 7 years old.

She was sassy. Yes she was. They were in the water and she was talking back to him...shaking her finger at him...telling him off. He sat in the shallow water completely ignoring her while picking up scoops of sand in his hands. He showed no emotion, no interest...she was not engaging him at all.

The more he ignored her, the more she blazed into him...

Then finally...he had enough...he stood up and started to walk away...

She grabbed his arm...he pushed her back... she fell into the water...

That's when I saw it...she cried...cried...cried like a broken hearted little girl does-no matter how old she gets...I watched her as she stared at the back of him walking away...I could see all over her face that it wasn't him pushing her that made her cry...it was him leaving her.

I continued to watch her as she sat for another hour...sad and gloomy...

All she wanted was him to pay attention to her...and how did she go about showing that? The way a lot of women think they will get results...griping, nagging, demanding. Some never learn. Never change their patterns. I hope she does.

The second example is with my own five year old nephew...and his girlfriend.
